Battle Royale
has yet to see an official American release, leading many to believe
(erroneously) that it's been banned in
America. However, over the years it's become a lot easier to get your
own copy of the film in America, although you'd have to turn to sources
other than Blockbuster, Best Buy, or Amazon. No-one has yet created the
perfect home video version of Battle Royale for Americans, though;
each edition has its advantages and its liabilities. Your range of options
is wider if you have a DVD player that can play different
regions and video standards.
